Mattress Warranty

What does a Mattress Warranty Cover? Most all Mattresses come with a Warranty and the Mattress Warranty is a valuable part when purchasing your new Mattress.

Most Mattresses are trouble free, but what if your Mattress started sagging. This can be a Warranty issue and entitle you to a new Mattress. Most companies offer a Mattress Warranty that covers a Mattress if it is sagging over 1 1/2 inches, but newer mattresses are being covered with sags over 3/4 of an inch. This is because mattress companies are using materials that are more resilient like Latex and Memory Foam.

Remember a few things that will ensure your Mattress Warranty covers any problems you may have. First, you want to purchase a Mattress Protector to keep your Mattress clean as this is the first thing that will void your Warranty. Any soiling or even a water spot will void your Mattress Warranty. The second thing, do you remember when you were told that it was against the law to remove the Law Label from your Mattress? Well, it is not against the law, but it will void your Mattress Warranty if the law label is removed because it provides valuable information like when the Mattress was manufactured and what store received the Mattress.

Make sure you take care of your Mattress as recommended by the Manufacturer and the retailer.  There is usually a predefined rotation schedule you need to follow.  If it is a 2 sided Mattress, you need to flip the Mattress as according to manufacturer.  There are key things you can do to ensure you get the longest life possible out of your Mattress.  Any neglect on the buyers part will void any warranty that the Mattress may have had.

Remember if you have a problem with your Mattress and want to see if your Mattress is covered under the warranty, visit or call the retailer where you purchased your Mattress. Be sure and ask about the Warranty when you purchase your Mattress. Some Mattress Warranties are pro-rated which means the amount of coverage diminishes over the length of the Mattress Warranty. The best Mattress Warranty is one that is Non Pro-Rated.
