Jamison Mattress Sagging

Mattress Sagging is a common complaint found across the Mattress Industry, Jamison Bedding does many things to try and alleviate this problem.

I don't care if you buy a $500 Mattress or a $2000 Mattress, many customers have problems with Mattress Sagging. There are several reasons for this. Mattress Manufacturers are making mattresses softer and softer. This requires greater thicknesses of foam to less dense foam products which tend to lose their shape quicker.

Jamison Mattresses use combinations of foam/Latex/Memory Foam on thicker Mattresses to curb the Mattress Sag issue. Latex is one of the greatest properties to find in a Mattress as Latex bounces back better and thus reduces Mattress Sagging. Jamison uses Latex in many models, even on their less expensive models, regardless of the fact that Latex in more expensive than traditional foam.

Another Problem causing Mattress Sagging is a rather touchy issue. We will just say that larger customers have a increased likelihood of Mattress Sagging. This is why it is of great importance to flip or rotate your Mattress so you switch sides, allowing your mattress to wear more evenly, especially if your spouse is smaller than you.

Another problem, I am guilty of this one, is sitting on the side of your bed, even if it is to tie your shoes. This causes your bed to Sag on the sides instead of in the middle. Jamison, on almost all models wraps the side of the Mattress, often called "Foam Encased". This allows a firm foam around the edge that will hold up better and reduce Mattress Sags at the edge.

These are a few problems causing Mattress Sagging, but let me say this. It is Impossible to eliminate all Mattress Sagging. Let me say that again. IMPOSSIBLE to eliminate ALL Mattress Sagging. Foams settle and will cradle some because we always sleep in the same spot. If we slept from side to side and moved every night and slept in a different spot, Mattress Sagging would be less noticeable. But, we sleep in the same exact spot night after night. If you have OCD and cannot stand seeing the Sagging spot in your Mattress, change where you sleep every night. .

Jamison LaJolla Consumer Mattress Review

I received my Jamison La jolla king matress/ box springs/low type this week and it's AWESOME! I'd slept on one at a Hilton hotel and loved it so when I went to our small town furniture store, this is what I found. I'd returned 2 Beautyrest mattresses from a chain furniture store, they weren't even the matress I purchased! Bad experience turned into a GREAT ONE with JAMISON! THANK YOU so much, I wish advertising was better, not many matress stores will tell you about Jamison. I knew from experience at the Hilton/ vacation time that I took 6 months after losing my spouse suddenly. I was able to relax and sleep great on the hotel matress so I did a search on Google & Hilton Hotel to find it.  I'll always buy Jamison!
Sincerely,
Gayle

Jamison-Solstice Struggling Mattress identity

Jamison Bedding has been in the Mattress industry for 100+ years before selling out to Solstice Sleep who has a strong corporate identity, "United Furniture", but Jamison bedding had a totally different philosophy.

Jamison Bedding has always been about strong retail relationships, Solstice is all about moving product. That is NOT always a bad thing. Solstice took over Jamison and probably kept the Long time Bedding Manufacturer out of bankruptcy. Solstice treated it like it should have, a business that has a #1 priority to turn a profit.

Transportation changed, production changed, some employees or employee roles changed, prices changed--going down in many cases, but the biggest change WITH change is culture. By this I mean, retailers always knew when deliveries were being made from Jamison, not so much anymore. If you had a problem, you knew who to talk to, not anymore. If a customer had a problem, you already knew what the manufacturer would do, no longer.

Solstice Sleep carries many comfort levels between $500-$1000 and the Jamison line was kept for the over 1k price range, to include the popular Resort Collection that has always been Jamison's claim to fame. Solstice will get their P's and Q's together, a transition with a hundred year old company is not always easy. How do you change everything that a company has always done?  You demand change or you change those who cannot accept change, period.

Solstice Sleep vs Jamison Mattress; Customer Wins

Solstice Sleep products purchased Jamison Bedding a few months ago, its no secret, but I had to wait to see the net affect of a great name like Jamison selling out.  After watching these last 2 months, I would phrase the buyout differently than most.  I would say, Solstice Sleep and Jamison Bedding teamed up to whoop some butt!

Solstice Sleep already produces an Awesome entry level Mattress up to a very nice $699 Pillow Top so they have the low end covered for the customer.  This being in the inner spring lineup in the Veridian Collection.  If you are looking for a $299-$699 Mattress, Solstice has you covered nicely with several options at every interval.

Now, what about Jamison Mattresses?  Did Solstice buy Jamison only for the network of dealers or hotel affiliations?  Not quite!  Solstice is one of those companies that have it figured out, you trim the fat and let the gravy rise to the top. (or however that metaphor goes?)  Solstice was able to shift some manufacturing, materials, needs, locations, distribution, acquisition, and all that good stuff and actually LOWERED the price on many of Jamison's Best Selling Mattresses!  That is correct, Solstice will still produce the ever popular Resort Collection from Jamison and at a lower price and NO, quality was NOT compromised.  They will still produce a Latex Line and will add more ALL Latex options for consumers to choose their best comfort.

We are in a time that many of the bedding Manufacturers are going to get better or they are going to get gone.  It is refreshing to know that Jamison Bedding will be stronger than ever going forward with the insights of Solstice Sleep.  It is true when people say, you can always get better.  Sometimes it takes an outsider to come in and make decisions that may not be popular at first, but are for the good of Company and Growth and in the end, the Customer Wins.

Buy Jamison Mattresses; 3 Questions To Ask

You have Chosen your Perfect Jamison Mattress and you are ready to purchase, 3 questions to make sure you ask.

1.  A big question to ask about your Jamison Mattress, how long is the warranty? what does it cover? How do I file a claim?
That is 3 questions in one, but they are related. Jamison Mattresses do not all come with the same warranty so make sure you ask. At the time of this writing, the majority have a 10 year non prorated warranty. The Resort Collection have 15 Year non-prorated. The latex mattresses have a 20 year non prorated warranty. Non-prorated just means that it does not go down over your length of ownership.
The main Warranty claim filed is for deep body impressions, but I must say I have very little problems from Jamison Mattresses. They are made well and hold up over time.

To file a claim, visit your selling retailer. The retailer orders you a kit to fill out details along with pictures. If your selling retailer has closed, Jamison will put you in touch with the closest dealer or handle themselves.

2.  Another great question before Buying your Jamison Mattress, how tall is the overall height of mattress/ Boxspring.
You may have a large poster bed that is tall and you may want to go to lower height Boxspring which are available in 1", 4", and around 9-10 Inches. A standard height Boxspring will be 9 inches, anything lower in height is considered a Low Profile box or a LoPro.

3.  This may go hand in hand with the first question, but ask how to protect your Mattress Warranty. There are many different types, styles, and names of Mattress Protectors. Or, you may have a topper or mattress pad. Just remember, a cup of water can ruin your investment so make sure you keep it covered with a waterproof protector.  Most Mattress Protectors are waterproof, but most Mattress pads are not.

This is 3 basic questions for Jamison Matress Buyers. There are many more you will cover including Price, Financing, delivery, setup, etc. Just wanted to touch a few that many forget about.

Best Jamison Mattress Review

You have done your research and narrowed your Mattress Shopping down to a Jamison Mattress, but you are not sure which one gets the Best Reviews or will be the Best Choice.

Kudos on narrowing your search to Jamison Mattresses because I believe whole heartedly about the quality and craftsmanship put into each Jamison Mattress.

This is intended to be advice from being around Jamison for many years, but please remember, ALL Mattress feels are subjective. Meaning that a Mattress that feels good to me, may not feel good to you, and vice versa. I will base my suggestions on the Jamison Mattresses that get the Best Reviews or positive customer experience.

Also, it will depend on the price range you are willing to pay for a good nights sleep. I will not be able to put exact prices on the selections as it goes against Jamison's terms of service.

Ok, get on with it right!  If price is not a barrier, there are 2 selections that always get great reviews and feel great from day one. The Jamison Lady Lark which is an All Latex Mattress with a 20 year warranty in the popular Jamison Resort Collection. This is a top of the line Jamison model, but other Mattress makers have mattresses that are much higher in price. I don't want to scare you about price because it is very affordable when you put it into perspective.

The 2nd Best Reviewed Jamison Mattress, not necessarily in that order would be the Jamison LaJolla, also in the resort Collection. This is a newer model, but early Reviews on this Mattress, place it at the top. That is my 2 top choices, but if you are on a budget, there is also a Jamison Mattress for you that gets amazing reviews. The Sunflower Plush and Sunflower Euro Top Mattresses will not break the bank and their pocketed coils feel like a much more expensive mattress set.

That is my suggestion for Jamison Mattresses that receive Great reviews and have been staples for the Jamison bedding lineup. Do not let me forget, if you are looking for a mid price mattress, be sure and check out the Aphrodite Plush or Aphrodite Firm selection which are both 2 sided, or can be flipped. This is a Mattress that were made years ago that lasted forever. A large portion of readers are probably sleeping on a set made similar to these, and it is hard to find a 2 sided mattress with all the added expenses of production.

Jamison Bedding is the oldest Family owned Mattress Manufacturer in the US so whichever selection you choose, I feel you will be happy. This is the best advice I can give you on buying a mattress, find a company that has been in business long term, then find a Mattress that meets your budget, then pick the one that feels best. Since you are reading about Jamison Mattresses, your first and most important decision is well under way.

Jamison Mattress Prices

Jamison Mattress Prices? Is a question I get on a daily basis. Why can you not go online and see a list of Jamison Mattress Prices?

This is a great question because everyone is looking for the best price when shopping for Jamison Mattresses. It really comes down to, Jamison the Company, does not allow prices online, and for good reason.

If you saw a price online for $500, someone else would be at $450 and so on. Anybody can beat a price by $5 or $10 until the brand is so undervalued that it could not be sold.

Now, When pricing Jamison Mattresses, they do not use map pricing like some where it is the same price wherever you go. They do allow competition and allow customers to shop for the best price, they just cannot be shown online.

You are able to email to get pricing on mattresses.
